Scared for my life

September 25th I discovered a lump in my left breast. The following Tuesday I went to see my doctor, who said it was probably a cyst, but to be sure I should go to the hospital to get pictures taken. Normally in these cases, I don’t use astrology to tell me anything. I would only be in more agony than I already would be. I did draw a horary, but closed it after I saw the Moon’s Nodes were on the axis. I did not interpret it any further and closed the program. Despite that, as an astrologer stuff starts to connect in your mind anyways. Stuff you don’t need astrology programs for, but know by heart.

Transit Saturn is approaching conjunction with my Natal moon and is now conjunct the Natal ruler of the house of my health: Mercury. Next to that Transit Pluto is squaring my Moon. Both of these are transits that have to do with “female things and concerns” (Moon). Additionally, transit Mars comes to the eclipse point of 22nd of July (29 degrees Cancer) soon. As you may or may not know, astrological prognoses works on different levels:

1. Physical.
2. Emotional.
3. Intellectual.
4. Spiritual.

I’m never sure how spiritual differs from the intellectual side, but, whenever looking at a chart the part where the astrologer has to guess is the level at which transits and progressions are going to play out [field of play or stage]. At this time I’m not sure if I have the worst possible: breast cancer or that it’s just a benign growth. Just like a peek at the horary could not tell me if it’s my own fear I was reading, or the state of my body. I am absolutely scared to death, I’ve never been this afraid in my entire life. In this case astrology does not help at all, and it bothers me that I’m able to see this.

As the answer will be revealed, more about this topic. For now, I’m halting all astrology activities until I know the answer.

Virgo’s and their bowels

Last week on the 4th of March, my father came down with something peculiar. When he went to the bathroom, there was blood. In that week he continued to have blood on and off when going to the bathroom so they referred him to the hospital. The medical examination is to take place late in the afternoon of the 9th of March. At the time I asked the following horary question, the examination hadn’t taken place yet. “Will my father’s examination reveal there’s a serious condition causing his health problems?

Own significators: Moon.
Circumstances: Void of course.

Topic significators
Moon (always as topic).
Father: Sun, 10th house.
Health: Sun (life, as ruler of the 6th of the 10th)
Mercury (bowels and nervous system).
The 6th of the 10th house/ Saturn.
Hospitilization: The 12th of the 10th house / Saturn.

Analysis
The chart can be classified as radical. The Moon is in the house that signifies the topic I’m wondering about: my father’s health (the 6th of the 10th). What we would be looking for is a connection between my father’s health (the 6th of the 10th) and the hospital examination (the 12th of the 10th). The first thing that struck me was the opposition between the Sun and Saturn. Leo is on the cusp of the 6th of the 10th (Sun). Aquarius is on the cusp of the 12th of the 10th (Saturn).  At first I couldn’t rhyme anything between Sun and Saturn. Mostly it’s related to bone and teeth problems, I even thought infection there for a second, but it would require the active participation of Mars towards Sun and Saturn. The opposition between the Moon and Mars indicates the heavy bleeding that preceeded in the last couple of days, as the Moon will tell you about what happened around the question in the past and in the future.

When he came back with the results: it was a condition related to old age. Now I get it! Sun opposition Saturn! Saturn, the old man. Sun, as the ruler of life. Both are indicators of something chronic. In Dutch it’s “uitstulping”, I’m not familiar with the English medical term but freely translated it’s a “bulge” in your intestines. I think it’s the same as Diverticulosis, which comes with old age and a low fiber diet. I also heard that he did not take the prescribed medication he needed to take to relax the muscles. My father has a severe intolerance for medication, so he was afraid to take it. Apparently this made the colonoscopy extremely painful. Mercury/ Mars/Neptune could be linked to the medication intolerance.

A “Void of Course” Moon is never a good moment to undergo a medical procedure, but since a colonoscopy is not the same as an operation, I’m guessing the side effects will be minimal. Right now he’s still suffering from cramps (Moon opposite Mercury, the ruler of Virgo).

An eerie likeness (like Daughter like Father):
Both my father and I are Sun in Virgo, though my father’s Sun is at 17 degrees 10 minutes. Saturn is now going retrograde at 18.20 degrees Virgo. That means it’s right on top of my father’s Natal Sun. Last year when Saturn was transiting my Natal Sun at 08.08 Virgo, I remember I had an episode with my bowels where I just couldn’t stop going to the bathroom. I was home sick for at least 3 days with aweful aweful cramps. I didn’t have blood or anything else. Just a severe case of the runs, like I never had them before. Now history seems to repeat itself where Saturn is now transiting his Natal Sun. At the time I was sick, I thought I caused it by eating a grapefruit that had been sitting in my bag overnight. The both of us are extremely sensitive when it comes to our bowels. The response from our bodies are nearly the same especially when it comes to greasy foods. Obviously due to my age I can tolerate more than my father and I’m able to get fit sooner.

For comparison, I’ve included both the chart of my father and myself. What I always find interesting, is that there are often prominent reoccurring planetary positions in the charts of relatives. My father has an exact Mercury/Neptune conjunction, which is at fault for a lot of his ailments, including his intolerance to medications. I have a Mercury/Neptune square. Both my father and I are children of Uranus when it comes to finding a way in society [unconvential and rebellious].

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to get myself some fiber-rich muesli bars. I’m 27, but I’d rather not go through what they call a colonoscopy in the future!

A close diagnosis

As I published the natal chart of Tomohisa Yamashita, I will be doing follow ups to see where I went wrong and where I was right. A few days ago Yamashita published in his jweb that his knees were giving him trouble. I remembered to have written something about joint related problems in my publication. So I went back to read it. This is what I wrote:

For Neptune in the sixth house, there’s real danger from medically administered drugs and care is needed with household gas appliances. Care is needed when dealing with addictive substances. There is a heightened risk of injuries to the feet. The area of the hip (joint) is indicated as prone to wear faster.
Sleep is raised in importance with this position, as he will need it to prevent a whole range of ailments. The square between Mars and Jupiter may indicate a higher than usual need for Vitamine B12 and Folic acid; it rules the production of red bloodcells. It may also cause accidents since there’s a tendency to take risks.

I identified it as being the hip joint, the knees are a bit lower than that! So while I identified ‘joint’ as being a problem due to the affliction of Neptune in the 6th house (health) I had attributed the body parts more to Pisces/Saggitarius than to Capricorn. I’m now unsure why I wrote it up that way since Neptune is obviously in Capricorn!! I do notice my approach to astrology is from time to time “Uranian” (only minding the aspects), which may have played a part in this. If you want to see how obvious this should have been to me try this query on google. That’s what we call a ’slap ones forehead’ moment.

Close I’d say, but in the eyes of many probably not close enough. However, I think I’ve gained some more confidence in pinpointing where in the chart health problems exist as at least I picked Neptune out of all the objects in the chart and allocated the lower part of the body. Pretty good astrology in my book, I just need to keep my eye on the signs!
