Two years ahead, continued

In my previous post, I had made a general attempt to identify some clusters in my chart for the upcoming 2 years. I have concluded that the minor cluster peak is at the end of october, beginning of november 2008. However, I still feel that the gravity of the connections would not do much. Whereas some people only need light connections for anything to happen, I usually need a besieging of the fortress! Whether that is because I have the tendency to be self oriented or not, I’ll leave for the reader to think about.

How I deducted the minor cluster

This is what happens late august:
16-8-2008. Partial Lunar Eclipse (opposite Vertex)
17-8-2008. Pluto = Venus/Neptune (Indirect Arc)
26-8-2008. Transit Neptune opposite Vertex
8-9-2008. Venus = Node/Vertex (Indirect Arc)

You can see a small besieging of Vertex, the point in the natal chart associated with fated meetings. The only hard transit is of course Neptune, and by level of importance the indirect arcs just don’t cut it. Keep in mind that my experience with Indirect Arcs is very slim, as I just adopted this technique.

Then here’s what happens end of october:
13-10-2008. Secundary Moon passes into Libra.
22-10-2008. Transit Jupiter square Venus.
24-10-2008. Tertiary progressed Moon conjuncts Ascendant
4-11-2008. Tertiary progressed Moon squares Venus

Recently I’ve also started using Tertiary Progressions. The passing of the secundary Moon to Libra is a significant one, because it will then start to activate my 8th house stellium which holds a lot of planets (including Venus). Transit Jupiter returns again to square Venus, not long after, the Tertiary Progressed Moon conjuncts my Ascendant and squares Venus. However, the secundary Moon is still not activating the Jupiter transit like it should, and tertiary progressions should only be used to confirm timings! So it remains “something” but “not enough” to be of true significance.

The major cluster I described in the previous post is actually divided into two pieces. I’m almost a 100% certain the cluster in the latter part of the year (near December) is purely work related and doesn’t mean anything else than that. However, starting from March 2009 I feel there’s enough hitting points together with Eclipses on my axis for me to expect something to happen in the arena of relationships in that year. Unfortunately, this brings my analysis further in time than I originally did. In the previous post I mentioned I did not look any further than July 2009. This means I’ll have to dive in more deeply to see if I can find out more. I kind of hate looking into the future too much by nature, “tomorrow is tomorrow’s business” and this frequently disrupts my astrological analysis as well. A lot of times, astrology cannot tell you how the cards will be played out. It can just tell you the type of card that rolls on to the table. I guess it’s good enough to play blackjack!

How I divided the major cluster

The thing that struck me when I was looking at december 2008 was the amount of Mars and Pluto at hand, “a lot of balls”. This encouraged me to pull it loose from the beginning of 2009. Somehow I feel less comfortable knowing this is what’s going on at the planned delivery of one of my projects. The only thing I relatively feel good about is that it should give me the energy and courage to pull through. I fear that November is also going to bring me a lot of headache until the end of the year. As my state of mind looks relatively clean in 2009, I’m hoping it’s finished. I surely should be mentally prepared for what’s to come!

27-10-2008. Transit Pluto quinqunx Mars.
21-11-2008. Tertiary Progressed Moon square Pluto.
2-12-2008. Transit Jupiter square Pluto.
5-12-2008. Tertiary Progressed Moon opposite Mars/Node.
8-12-2008. Solar Arc Moon square Mars.
1-1-2008. Transit Jupiter opposite Mars.

Looking ahead for about 2 years

My methods of trying to predict something with the use of astrology are kind of elaborate and detailed compared to many other astrologers. Did one expect anything different from a virgo with a capricorn ascendant? Despite the effort, you always overlook something important. Astrology is just amazingly complex that way. I did my own predictive analysis for the upcoming two years. I generally use a method now that’s been adjusted from things that I’ve been taught in my earliest courses and including techniques from the newest books in my collection. At it’s basis are some techniques from George Bode, that come from his book on Progressions. In the attachments of this article you will find the chronological list of transitions, progressions and eclipses for my chart in the coming two years. You will see there I’m using the terms ‘long wave’, ‘midwave’ and ‘short wave’.

What I generally look for in analysis are ‘hitting points’. These are clusters of transits or progressions that are:
a. Activated by the secundary moon
b. Revolve around the same subject by planet nature or make sense from the natal chart.

So this post is about showing the findings of that analysis. Perhaps I will elaborate on my adaptation of several methods another time. I got interested in doing the analysis after I found out that Eclipses seem to trigger external events in the house it falls in. I’ve figured out the upcoming eclipses focus on the houses 1 and 7, which signify relationships and/or contracts you have with for example employers. Back in 2000-2001 eclipses marked an important relationship for me as they cycle in the signs of capricorn/cancer a lot. Now in the attachment with the chronological positions you will see I marked numbers 27 to 49 in a light blue color. That to me is a major cluster. Earlier (numbers 9 through 16) is a minor cluster. I kind of stopped at the second large cluster, so please if you see something past July 2007 just yell (comment). The problem is, the major cluster coincides with an important event taking place in my job, namely the delivery of a project.

The minor cluster
I don’t expect much of the minor cluster in terms of real events happening to me, since I would still consider it too weak to be of value. Whether I’m right about that, I guess I’ll find out. Both Tr. Neptune opposite Vertex and Tr. Jupiter square Venus are returning, they were there in January 2008 as well. In January 2008 I’ve made an experience I would not like to repeat. Back then I had good hopes Tr. Neptune opposite Vertex wouldn’t do further damage in the way I viewed love, but in all honesty, I would have rather not met that person which I met back then.

The major cluster
Seeing as the major cluster coincides with the delivery of one of my projects at work, it makes it hard for me to distinguish between that and my personal life due to the dualistic nature of the astrological houses. If it in part relates to my project, I have good hopes I will be able to finish it within a (to me) acceptable time period. Tr. Jupiter opposition Mars is a great example, part of the interpretation for it is: “projects you have been working on are now culminating”. I’m suspecting it’s a little more than that though, to say the least. In the new year of 2009 I’ll be keeping my eyes pealed for attractive men, that’s for sure;) If I’ll ask you for your birthday, you’ll know what’s up;) I of course have taken a few steps to try and get it down to a smaller timeframe. Once you find a cluster you’re kind of curious if you can’t narrow it down just a bit. I have done nothing more than look at my solar return, venus return and a few lunar returns very superficially at this point. The solar return speaks of disappointment in work affairs, which I hope isn’t any stronger than my own natal transitions and progressions and takes to the latter part of the solar return year. The Venus return shows the same convincing picture (Venus, Mars and some in the first house). The lunar of December is showing interesting things to say the least. The fifth house is completely full, Venus at the seventh house, nodes right on the axis. I still have to attempt tertiary progressions and anything else I can think of!

That’ll be it for now, but I will be sure to update on this as time progresses!

Natal chart for Tomohisa Yamashita

Apologies. Firstly, I must apologise for the state this website is in, I’m aware this is going to draw numbers of visitors which I would rather have had when everything on this site was finished. However, since I finished my work on his natal chart, I could no longer keep this sitting on my hard drive. A natal chart can be described as a personality profile by usage of astrology. Secondly, writing day to day english is also a lot easier for me than actually publishing something of this nature since I’m Dutch. I’ve tried to correct the mistakes, but I’m pretty sure there’s still remaining.

Who is he? Next to practising astrology for half my life I’m also quite the fan of ‘all things Japanese’. This includes Japanese boybands and one person in particular: Tomohisa Yamashita (山下智久), better known as Yamapi. I have taken the time and effort to create a personality profile because he was just screaming to get one pimping his birth time in his jweb (it’s sort of a cellphone subscription diary).

I don’t think it will be of much interest to those that don’t know him, but I sure know a big clan of people that will be curious. It was written by a fan, for the fans and it’s my first publication in celebrity astrology. I kind of always avoided it because I always thought it’d make the matter kind of cheezy, but I’m convinced I’ve managed to create a good and valuable piece. You can download the pdf file here (douzo):

I intend to research and publish more about him. When or what exactly I’ll publish is unknown for now.

Book Review: Anthony Louis – Horary Astrology

Full title: Horary Astrology Plain & Simple: Accurate answers to real life questions.

In terms of practical lookup use it’s better to stick with Karen Hamaker’s book on horary astrology, which provides easy access to each of the rules. This is mostly the only bad thing about Anthony Louis’ book about horary astrology. It’s hard to find something again!

On the positive side: he provides us with some astounding examples and I can really say I have learned more from Anthony’s writing than Karen’s when it comes to deciding whether a chart is ‘good’ to judge. Anthony named this ‘a radical chart’. I’ve only now discovered the importance and strength when a chart is ‘radical’. I would definitely recommend this book about horary astrology as an addition to your library. Another advantage for me is that I’m learning to map the dutch terminology to the english terminology. I absolutely had no idea about the jargon in horary astrology in english. I’m also really happy with the number of natal charts for Nations in the appendix. As a Japanophile, I found the chart of Japan with a Capricorn Ascendant rather humorous.

Graphic depiction of natal charts

Next to interpeting charts and blogging about astrology I also create graphic depictions of natal charts when I find the time. They are wallpapers that can be used on your desktop. Visit the art gallery.
