Woah… honestly it’s so obvious we’re short on resources these days. Instead of people I mean money with that. Because in this world, you buy people with money and then call them “resources”. This is why it’s called “human resources”. XDD. No wonder there’s so many h00mins instead of humans. Anyways, after this painfully clear picture of the world I just have to say we’re totally understaffed. I’m still managing 4 services on my own, have 2nd line support to do, take on new initiatives, am with my face the most around customers probably, do support for sales and yada and yada. THANK GOD I’m so extremely good at what I do, that it’s so bloody easy for me. That’s what I also say if you want to work in IT: if you’re not good at it don’t do it. They keel you. So if the ladies of the “equal gender participation in IT” would give me a break (stop calling me, seriously) I would be much obliged. Like I would recommend anyone this shit-ass job if they’re not already really comfortable with it before they even start their degree. Your degree basically is: you studied it. Nothing more. Says nothing about your ability to handle the stress that comes with the work. You can learn to deal with fail, but that’s about it. I only have stress when h00mins are antisocial. And since there’s quite a lot of antisocial, unethical jerkbags out there I know this isn’t for anyone that can have stress from the content of the work. It’s not like I don’t believe women can make great engineers, because I am one; I’m just saying you’ll end up there automatically if it’s truly your cup of tea. And yes, I am saying you need a real thick skin for people more than any other occupation if you choose IT. That, or you become attached to your deathbox (computer) and completely absorb yourself in it. That’s why I also say “People’s complaint and their stereotype about IT folk is generally true, what they forget to mention is that they also created it with their bare hands”. Part of my “hard shell and edgyness” is also simply created by other people because of this job and that’s why h00mins pretty much suck. I might not be an exception in the process of getting pushed in a cubicle with certain labels, but I am sure proud I have the two braincells to see through it. My joie de vivre it indeed is to bitch about it constantly LOL. A lot of times not because they need to stop attempting to, but don’t expect everyone to buy your crap like a gullable introverted dweeb. That; would already help a lot. XDD>
